Reigate and Banstead Police Safer Neighbourhood Team
Dear Residents, Welcome to the Police Update for the last week. The message includes personal fraud (Scams), burglaries, catalytic converter and vehicle thefts reported between the 23rd July 2026 to 30th July 2026. The report also includes information on arrests in the Borough. The Police Reference Number (PR) with each of the reports is shown in brackets. Arrests. There were 59 arrests in the period July 23rd 2026 to July 29th 2026: Domestic Incident/Violent Domestic Abuse 11, Rape/Sexual Offence 4, Drugs 5, Drunk/Drug Charge 1, Violent Crime in a Public Place 5, Violent Crime other 5, Harassment/Stalking 3, Hate/Diversity 3, Crime Other 5, Child at Risk 1, Child Protection 2, Master Occurrence 7*, Theft 3, Immigration 1, Criminal Damage 1, Suspicious Incident 1, Absconder/Wanted 1,
*A Master Occurrence is used when recording an arrest where a number of offences are recorded for one incident.
Personal Fraud (Scams) in the Borough. Records show that there have been 6 reports of Personal Fraud in the Borough during the last week. These include reports of three Telephone Frauds claiming to be from a Bank.
Please remember your bank or the police will never ask you for your PIN, bank card or ask you to withdraw money or buy items on their behalf. Be extremely wary of unsolicited phone calls from your bank or the police. End the call, and call back on a different phone line or on a mobile phone. If this is not possible, wait at least one minute before calling back. Use either the telephone number on your bank card, or go to the bank’s website or for the police dial ‘101’. Speak to friends or family before carrying out any transactions. Don’t trust claims made by cold callers. Never hand over your money, bank cards or make purchases following an unexpected call. Never share your PIN.

South Between 20/07/2026 00:00 to 27/07/2026 14:15. Kelsey Close, Horley. Residential Burglary. Method of Entry – Entry has been gained through a bedroom window. Stolen: Nothing Taken (PR 45260090448)
